How to switch to another ship
I have a ship halfway across the galaxy, and i want to get it without bringing it to where i am, is that possible?

Yes you need to land on a station which has a shipyard and then select ship transfer to transfer your ship to the current station. But it costs money and takes time depending on how far away it is.

You mean like just instantly switched into the other ship? I don't think you can, it's like teleporting.

Without ship transfer? Get a hauler cause cheap and give it the best fsd, lightest internals, best scoop and fill it with fuel tanks. Can get you pretty far out before you need to scoop and cheap enough to leave when you get the other ship

Buy a sidewinder, blow yourself up, choose not to rebuy, and you're in the bubble presto.

Getting the other ship to you will cost you though.

only via ship transfer. find a station with a shipyard.
it will be expencive and will take a long time. longer than if you flew it there yourself

So there is no way we can spawn ourselves at one of our other ships? I'm in deep space and want to join a friend back at home base but leave my ship on the planet it's on, there are no bases for 3000+ LY.

You can not teleport between stations. To get into another ship, if must be in the same station/outpost that you are in.
So you need to either get to the other ship, or have it shipped to you.

Sorry, you're out of luck. I guess you could multicrew with your friend, if his ship supports that.
