Proto Heat Radiators location?
I have been jumping in unknown signal sources with encoded emmissions for about 2 hours.
I am in a system with the "Boom" status, and i havent seen a single one. I did encounter several other Proto something something. Switched to another "Boom" system after that, and still no luck. Any ideas what i am doing wrong ?

PROTO HEAT RADIATORS
TYPE:Manufactured
GRADE:Very rare
BLUEPRINTS:6
USED:6x
LOCATION:Signal source (High grade emissions), Mission reward, Higher chance in Boom system states

however don't wake your hopes up OP i've been flying a whole week with 0 of them in high grades emissions ... but loads of core dynamics composite, i guess thoses ♥♥♥♥ are the new exquisite crystal prio to update .

Just found 3 of them (9 in cargo) and i think i get what happens.
I spend alot of time in 1 system and what happens is that it had only 2 very rare components in the high grade emmision signals. it would never spawn any other type. i switched to a new system (several times) and saw the same pattern. kept doing it untill i got into a system the exclusively spawned the proto heat radiators in its high grade emmision signal sources. Oh! and it was also in a boom state. So i guess every system spawns just particular types of resources only.

TLDR:
every system hs only 2 types or rare resources in the high grade sugnal sources. if what you are looking is not in the first one, switch to another system.

oh, and just in case, i found them in the "ALKH" system

For high grade emissions, fly away from all planets. You tend to find more in "deep space".

ta mate, might gonna check.

@ agony, i think it's random, i found all my high grade near the sun of Sol but i'll keep the advice in mind

edit :

in ALKH system and already 3 high grade full of this.

I wish I could trade Engineer Commodities, I found a whole bunch of them at Sol this afternoon and only need 6.

after spending 3 hours trying to find these things, i read this post, i go to ALKH, the first high grade emmisions i drop in on had 4 proto head radiators. +++++++++++++++++ thnx peeps

Here is what I did:
1) High population, Independent, Boom system.
2) Keep an orbit of 1000ls around the main star.
3) Only drop in on High Grade Emissions

It is RNG, but I have once got 18 PHR in one HighGradeEmissions

for what it's worth - i found these in Hloca, which is right next to Broo Tarquin's system. the very first USS i found there gave me 3 of them (i.e. 9 in total)

others in the FD forum reported finding them in Sol (as well as Alkh), but all i found there was the other two types of Proto, or Core Dynamics stuff. i didn't visit Alkh, but if Sol no longer works then maybe Alkh got changed too. ymmv.

There's no "better" system as long as it's in Boom state and you are in DEEP SPACE.

This is very important. The secondary panel on your bottom left part of the screen must say "Deep Space". So you must fly away from the main star, preferably perpendicular to the ecliptic plane, until that panel says deep space.
How far you have to fly depends on the star's mass, so you can reach Deep space about 500Ls away from the star if it's a red dwarf, or fly tens of thousands Ls and still not reach it if it's an orange giant. So preferably pick red dwarf systems.

Once you're in deep space just circle away above the ecpliptic plane, at 25% throttle. And pray for luck. You can find nothing for 1 hour, then find 3 in a row, that's random.
