Generally the idea of developement is that each year another season pass appears. It will bring new content and you will have to pay for it. Of course you don't need to if you don't want. I'm not sure if you need old season pass to be able to buy the new one when it comes out.
Nice to know that. So, basically, maybe getting now the seasson pass, if the new one is released tomorrow...I wont have access to it, isn't it? By the way...any idea of when will the new one come out? Thanks for the advices guys!
Current season pass (Horizons) give you access to planetary landings, engeneers, fighters and few new ships. You don't need it to play the game but it adds a lot.
As I can see, too many things are planned to be implemented. That's good...but very bad if we'll need to buy tons of DLCs to get access to the full game. Anyway...is the game in it's current state enjoyable? And the base game will grant me enough hours of gameplay?
Another fast question: this seasson pass includes all the DLCs in the store or just Commander and Horizons?
We will probbably need to buy a lot of DLC because this is how this model works. You don't need to pay any montly fee you just pay once a year for the developement if you of course are interested in more content. I think it is planed for 10 years or so.
Season pass gives you what Horizons include - planetary landings, engeneers, guardians, commanders and some future content planned to come this year. That's all gameplay stuff that is available.
All other DLCs are cosmetics and you don't get them in deluxe in exception of so called Commander pack. It gives you cosmetics for three early game ships. Normally not really worth buying unless you want to financially support the dev, but in the deluxe you get it for free.
Honestly I never used it myself. Before I realised that there are cosmetics in the game and where they are I already owned more expencive ships. I bought some cosmetics later to support the devs and to make some nice screenshots.
the horizons season pass includes a lot of stuff, you definitely want it, especially at this price, dont worry about future content, the content in horizons is already pre determined, it will not expand or contract, you will receieve all horizons content.
the game will continue to expand in the future beyond horizons of course, and of course we have to buy new content, as there is no F2P or subscription elements. but you always have the option to not buy new content until it is worth it to you.
the bottom line to your question though is to get the deluxe edition, it is on sale for the lowest price its ever been, and buying the game+ horizons is the same price but you dont get the commanders pack, which isnt important, but for no extra money, you may as well.
