I don't know if it's a pristine ring, but the rocks are orange and says rich in metals
Don't mind in inhabited systems, it's a complete waste of time.
Also Wolfey that is terrible terrible advice.
Res sites actually do offer a bonus yeild if you can survive them. Honestly if you arent in a big ship and are solo go outside of the res sites. That being said population means nothing, only the surveyed value of the reserves I.e Pristine Reserves is the best and no matter the NPC population you will get a good amount of materials.
Good luck mining
Which is all compeltely untrue. I've tried Pristine RES sites and the quality of minerals is well below what I get from an uninhabited system I frequent. I get fewer minerals, and the minerals available are less valuable.
No, I mean I consistently get materials of a high degree of rarity and a high base value, mostly Noble Metals. After an hour of mining, the lowest-value matgerial onboard is usually a couple of tons of silver. The vast majority of what I get are Rare Earth heavy metals like Osmium and Noble Metals like Gold, Platinum, Paladium with a moderate amount of Painite.
Mining in an RES system with Pristine rings 4 jumps away I typically get Gallite, Bertrandite, Silver and small amounts of Gold. Painite simply doesn't happen. Both are listed as Pristine.
