Set the map as you have done and then carefully look for them, you will - with the right level of zoom and care- find what you want.
Ofan - What does BGS mean? I also have zoomed right up to the system I'm in and slowly zoomed out and panned around. There are NO stars showing with civil wars except for 3 right now. Otherwise I guess I don't know what you mean by "carefully" look for them. And I say again, the map does NOT show, the systems I already know (because I've been in them and am in one currenbtly) that have an active civil war going.
I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you two or if you're misunderstanding me.
Check all the toggles on the map. They sometimes toggle themselves, and also you might have some stars to set to not show. the overlay is quite buggy.
Background simulation, the thing that controls stuff like system states
You can't just pan around and rotate you have to move the camera around in space, you wont be able to see a system 300ly away unless you scroll the camera over to it so you have to set the map up to show what you want then scroll around and up and down looking for it.
It will show systems in the state if you are in range, I have found outbreak systems hundred of ly away before doing this, but you have to move the camera not just change its angle
Now that you mention this, I do have another filter set for scoopable stars. So even though that isn't the active filter, it still impacts the other filters is what you're saying? I will log in and change it just to see what happens.
As far as I know you can only have one filter active.
I guess what doesn't make sense to me, is if I'm filtering for say, anarchy systems, I will see all the near by systems, as well as those further away. If I'm looking for a specific government type in my filter, I seem to be able to see dozens and dozens of those, near and far away. But I set filter for civil war, and the entire galaxy goes dark save for the 3 randomn systems. Even though the system I'm in has a civil war, it doesn't show, along with two other systems I know have an active civil war. I know I've scrolled around with the keyboard and have gone hundreds of ly from my system on the map, but the stars do not show up. But I'll try again.
If you've turned off some star types and switch to system status the star types stay turned off.
Hello,
I'm sorry that is not correct.
Please turn off ALL stars from gal map then switch to any other filter type and watch them all come back, only one filter may be applied at a time :)
Oh! Ok, that makes sense. That also put's the kabosh on my plan to be a merc for hire. Thanks thought!
Here, although excuse the long post to come
This report presents the latest data on conflict among the galaxy's minor factions.
Here are the latest factions to experience a civil war:
New 31 Aquilae Green Party
Potriti Gold Mafia
Zelano Systems
Fusang Fortune Commodities
Vanayequi Independents
Eravate Life Services
AG+21 1754 Citizen Party
Eranin Peoples Party
Purungurawn Purple Society
United Hatmehit Revolutionary Party
Civil wars occur when minor factions compete for control of major assets such as starports. When a faction is involved in a civil war, the standard of living, development level and security level in the system it controls are temporarily reduced. Combat activities can bring a civil war to an end.
Here are the latest factions to experience war:
Colanja Gold Power Services
Ross 754 Labour
G 41-14 Purple Travel Solutions
Kokary Holdings
Wolf 359 Blue Travel Commodities
Limapa Blue State Commodities
Lords of Ngaliba
HIP 8593 Empire League
Coquim Industry
Kini Drug Empire
Wars occur when a minor faction invades a star system controlled by another minor faction. For the duration of the war, the standard of living, wealth level and security level in the disputed system are reduced. Combat activity between the two warring factions determines the outcome of the conflict. If neither faction succeeds in dominating the other, the war ends in a ceasefire.
