I mean any way to make it go faster quicker, maybe slingshotting or a module or an upgrade or enhancement?
Using the sun or planets helps?
We have super cruise and witch space......both of which are rediculously fast.
Well i speed up when approaching a planet with mass dont i.
Not in Supercruise. Mass slows you down. The best way to use planets and suns in supercruise is as a way to brake. Travel much faster than normal and then use the effect of a massive body to slow down (reasonably) on time.

even at full throttle it starts to slow you down when you approach a planet (look at the speed not the throttle bars)
The fastest way to travel in system is to go wide and far from other celestial bodies other than your destination.
When entering a solar system I typically speed off in the direction that I need too but under/over the orbital plane of that particular solar system with my destination at the top of my screen.
Again, keep away from any gravity wells.

Incase you don't know what a gravity well is.
Just stay over the magic 0:06 secs to your target at 3/4 throttle, and you will be fine. :)
