I mean any way to make it go faster quicker, maybe slingshotting or a module or an upgrade or enhancement?

I think your in a dream world.. But heh slingshoting is jumping to the next system at the speed of light.. Or do you want to beable to teleport?

Using the sun or planets helps?

Goto a black hole.. Mabey you might find another universe on the other side that'll be solo for sure or a rebuy lol

well you can upgrade your thrusters to make you faster in normal space but that doesnt make you faster in SC and Witch Space. if you meant pysically making its top speed and boost speeds faster, then yes that is possible via the engineers. Professor Palin offers G5 Thrusters upgrades and for ships with Size 3 and under thrusters you can get Enhanced Power Thrusters from Elvira Martuuk and Felicity Farseer that produce higher top speeds at the expense of lower manuverabilty and Higher power draw.

This isn't the Kerbal Space Program. Sling shotting wont help if you already have faster than light travel......would be useless actually.

We have super cruise and witch space......both of which are rediculously fast.

Well i speed up when approaching a planet with mass dont i.

Not in Supercruise. Mass slows you down. The best way to use planets and suns in supercruise is as a way to brake. Travel much faster than normal and then use the effect of a massive body to slow down (reasonably) on time.

I'm not sure what you control setup is, but have you tried increasing your throttle setting? Push the throttle, press + or whatever...

no you don't speed up near planets... you are still slowing down.

even at full throttle it starts to slow you down when you approach a planet (look at the speed not the throttle bars)

The fastest way to travel in system is to go wide and far from other celestial bodies other than your destination.

As has been said, when you approach the gravity well of any celestial body you will slow down.

When entering a solar system I typically speed off in the direction that I need too but under/over the orbital plane of that particular solar system with my destination at the top of my screen.

Again, keep away from any gravity wells.

Incase you don't know what a gravity well is.

No, your ship stays still the whole time. The bar in your instruments shows not a ship's speed, but a space compression/decompression rate. The speed is a number with a little "c" in it. Watch it when you approach a planet with mass and you will see that you are slowing down fast, while your FSD tries to cope with a space compression/decompression interference, induced by the gravity of that planet.

dolphin! i think muppet may of though it was MPH! mabey but i think he knows now, this was a silly question` but IMO` i mean muppet has a point, but each to thier own, me i need to stop over shooting the staion @millions of MM` at top speed and its well fast, but when the sun interdicts me tbf it sucks, < it really does haha! so slows me down,

Could be. But it's more like the engine's revs, while you shift your gear down and down.

Just stay over the magic 0:06 secs to your target at 3/4 throttle, and you will be fine. :)
