where to find or buy the SRV?

So i bought horizons recently and i dont know how to obtain my SRV, Do i need a bigger ship? Right now i have the CobraMK3. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need a planetary vehicle hanger and then you fit a SRV (Scarab) into that.

You can find them at most outfitting places, but if you use eddb.io it can show you the cloest location for it.

You need a size 2 slot minumum though, won't go in a size 1 slot.

Size 2 gives you 1 SRV
Size 4 gives you 2, size 6 gives you 4. Don't think there is a size 8.

You can have multiple bays as well, eg, 2 size 2 hangers giving you 2 SRVs.

There is an extremely common bug when you buy Horizons -- it doesn't update the launcher and you're STILL playing Vanilla ED.

The Vanilla ED launcher is Orange. The Horizons launcher is Blue colored.

To fix this you need to go to the official Horizons website and use your CD-key from Steam (with a created account) to validate your purchase.

This will not change your desktop shortcut however so you'll need to start the game from your Steam library (select the game and then hit play from there -- then select "Horizons" before hitting Play again)

Hope this helps! I played for nearly four days looking EVERYWHERE for a Planetary Vehicle Bay and couldn't find one. Turns out that my game wasn't 'officially updated'

Mine is still orange, i validated the key when i bought it and when i try again it says invalid. :( mmmmm

Did you activate the key on Frontier?

Hmm. You could always try the frontier client, but when you start it up on steam, does it give you the option to launch Horizons?

It's still orange when you use the "Play" button directly from the library (not the shortcut?)

Don't right-click the name and select play -- select the game and then use the blue Play button under the game name on the upper right side above to where is says "Played X Hours"

That happened to me back when I bought Horizons. You just need to close the game/launcher and wait a little while. It sometimes takes a while for it to register the game to your account.

you may need to log off steam entirely then back in to allow the changes to apply

are you 100% positive you used the Key for Horizons and not the original ED key when you validated it? Also, try validating it again(?)
