Best Advanced Plasma Accelerator mods for Vulture?
I'd like to get some advice about engineer mods for APA, to use it on Vulture if being specific. I have it with dirty drives, so maneuverability is not an issue, neither i have issues with overheating. I'd go for Overchaged, but i'm not sure how much it drains from your WEP capacitor. (I do have Charge Enchaced Distr for 38% WEP). Any thoughts from someone who has it as their main weapon?

My advice? Experiment, find your own perfect setup. Vultures are rare enough among veteran Elite players, and APAs are almost nonexistant - you're actually the first player I've seen mention them since I got back in August last year.

I'd love to offer advice, but your setup is so esoteric that I doubt anybody here can offer much.

Currently i have it with multicannon and a fixed beam, just thought it would be cool to have plasma. Not intended to be a pvp build, just a fun one

Is APA all that bad that it is not used?

Efficient can basically fire regulalry forever and rapid fire puts out , well as you would expect rapid shots but drains dist more, they both give similar, heavy dps, the other mods aren't as OP because plasma doesn;t play well with others. Although long range gives you w wicked fast shot thats harder to miss with, personally I'd run with efficient.

Thanks for the reply! Will keep that in mind.

By the way, what special effect would you use?
I chose the efficent version combined with an overcharged fixed burst and it works well.

For PVE the mod what makes PA use fuel is the best tbh. (around 20-25% less dmg but you don't have to worry so much about ammo, I didn't do the math yet but a full tank is enough about 3 times more ammo compared the default max ammo)

if you want to fire it as much as you can, go for the plasma slug, it runs off of fuel from the ship for all day firing....as long as you have a fuel scoop. :)

Fixed Pulse lasers are pretty darn effective if you're good at aiming on the Vulture. I love my dual Fixed Pulse. (Meant Fixed Burst lasers sorry! I think I use the 3D Fixed Burst)

I prefer the fixed burst over fixed pulse because I find it a lot better against fast moving small ships becase you have 3 chance to hit them with one burst while with pulse its a hit or miss with one shot. ( Also I like its sound and visual effect more fun to play with.) Also the fighting with overcharged burts feels like sniping or like railgun play in quake 3 arena what I always loved. :D

Thank you for the correction there I actually meant Burst the one that shoots 3 off!

Apa after the nerf (lost the 3shot burst) is marginal better than a class 2 but you need 2 shot for each gun to be better of, so equip 2 c2plasma to get far better damage when you connect and put efficient mod not to cook yourself.

The amount of maneuvering to hit high speed trg 2 times does not worth it :steamsad:

Better is to use 1 c3 effic. plasma and 1 cannon fixed or 2 cannons fixed all of those are very pip and skill demanding setups

I've tried a new corvette yesterday only with plasmas. there is no way to hit fast and agile ships. You can't hit eagles, vipers, vultures. So it's full enginered but it can't do anything good. so i get rid of it soon. I really can't recommend plasmas. but this is only my opinion.

Plasma is not for ships like that. :D (lol)

Plasma on the Vulture is meh. Fires too slow b/c the vulture can line up targets quickly. You will be sitting there waiting to fire most of the time. I fitted my Vulture with beam and MC but it is engineered. I do not recommend my loadout with non engineered stock A rated Vulture.
