Samarium

so im new to the game and im trying to mine for this mission I got and its saying mine 4 units of samarium, and I've been mining metal and ice asteroids but I cant find any samarium, not any percentage of it

Find Pristine Metallic, can use http://edtools.ddns.net/ to find nearest Pristine system to you.

While there may as well fill up on the 3 P's too (Painite, Platinum, Palladium), or some Osmium and swap in/out of solo/open till Osmium missions come up.

Another tip for mining missions: wait till you complete mining to accept the missions, keeps pirate spawns to a minimum. Use the log in/out, swap open/solo to refresh the mission board to get missions for your haul NOT mine stuff to fit missions accepted already.
