Community goal question

If you are unable to play the game for an extended period of time will I loose the progress I made in a community goal? In the bounty hunting in cartoq I have made it to the 75% area, and I don't know if I'll lose it or not by not playing daily (I have some very demanding courses this semister).

you won't "lose" anything. other players can pass you and lower your current standing but I don't think you can go below 75%.

When the CG is over you'll get your voucher you can go claim... and if you ignore it for a while it will eventually get added to your total automatically.

Well it depends what you mean. If you have a very low participation you could drop into the 100% category if your participation was not enough to reach the 75% after the community goal is over.

If you mean cashing in the community goal then this will be done automatically after 2 weeks if you haven't done so manually. So you will not lose the money.

In theory you can go down all the way to the 100% bracket if enough players contribute more than you, but I've never gone down so far. It's probably more likely to happen in the lower brackets though.

I don't think you can drop below 75% in higher categories you CAN drop down if other players pass you.

The rewards increase with each new tier a CG reaches with the biggest increase when it reaches the final tier, 8/8 for example.

Reaching and staying in 75% is minimal effort. That can be done in a few minutes for ANY community goal. It's not like you need to spend a lot of time on it. If you don't have a few minutes to participate in a CG then I don't know.

I just checked and according to the forum the current trade community goal is at tier 4/8 with about 2 million payment for 75%. If the CG hits tier 8/8 the payout will be around 8 million credits for 75% and around 800k for 100%.

gosh darn, oh well the lowest isn't bad, but it's also not great, still more than I make off couriering missions.

Yeah, I started on the current bounty voucher community goal the day it started because I was like 3 jumps away from it so I figured why not. I've turned in like 25 million in bounty vouchers at least so far. I'm in the top 10% and I figure i'm going to try to do a few hours of bounty hunting a day until the goal is met or the time runs out and we get the reward.

Doing just an hour or two each day will actually be enough to keep you in fairly high on the ranking actually depending on what the community goal is.

Also, the reward grows as each tier is met.

The bounty hunter one is half way through tier 6 so I'm thinking that one will go all the way at this rate. The top 100% gets like 600k and jumps pretty high to almost 4.6 mil on the top 75% currently.
