deadzone issues
i am having some problems with my joystick, the problem is that it tends to yaw slightly to the left and i don't know how to fix it, i have tried recalibrating it back defeault in logitech profiler but it has been a problem for months now. i figure all i need to do is to increase the yaw deadzone but i don't know how.
can someone please help.

I had the exact same issue with my Extreme 3d pro a while back. It kept yawing slightly left, always bugged me during Supercruise. Anyways i solved it by going to Options (in-game) > Controls > Flight rotation (press + to open up) > Yaw axis > Dead zone. I moved the slider up about 1 inch give or take. Hopefully ths helps!

Keep moving the slider across until you get it the way you want. If at worst, delete the axis binding to yaw, and just use the default keyboard inputs, thankfully yaw is one of those less used commands.

seems like it is a recurring problem, maybe logitech has a manufacturing problem her.

Hard to say, Elite is the only game i had the yaw issue with. It works perfectly with DCS modules etc.

in options, you can increase the deadzones to all axes you use

My issue is the dead zone isn't big enough on my Logitech HOTAS, so I'm drastically overshooting on my fixed beam lasers. I wish I could adjust the dead zone, then I could really thread them on target. Gimbled for now I guess.

I have a similar problem on my X52 on the pitch axis. The X52 has a spring at the base but it doesn't always contact the stick and this allows for a little bit of a soft zone around center that is very easy to overcome. This usually causes my ship to pitch up b/c I'm putting just enough pressure on it with my hand to cause this. In essence I'm trying to rest on the spring to get out of the soft zone b/c it is more comfortable but this is causing deflection on the pitch axis.

ED has deadzone settings for all axes in the options menu. Use this before you use Logitech deadzones. Logitech deadzones should be zero if the game has deadzones as well. This allows for max deflection at game deadzone of zero which is what you want. If you set Logitech deadzone but don't set game deadzone then the zero deadzone in the game will only allow as much deflection as the Logitech deadzone allows which is confusing.

Not sure which HOTAS you have, but most of the Saitek /Logitech are done through the control panel.

http://www.saitek.com/manuals/x52_manual.pdf

Mine does the same thing in everspace. It's hard to tell in DCS and some of my other flight sims because I can set trims to make it fly straight and level.
Even on the device test page, the slider is centered and still, but in those 2 games I have a slight yaw variance. In Elite, it doesn't affect combat, just in supercruise. In the other, it's only while I'm sitting still.
