Rank Recruit 100%

Hello space explorers, I have a doubt, I already reach 100% of the rank recruit with the federation, and I do not know where the mission appears to go up that range, appears randomly? Or do I have to go to any specific system? Thank you very much!

Hola exploradores del espacio, tengo una duda, ya llegue al 100% del rango recluta con la federación, y no sé dónde aparece la mision para subir ese rango, aparece aleatoriamente? o tengo que ir a algun sistema especifico? Muchas gracias!

Yea, it appears sometimes on the mission board in stations. Just look for the words "federal Navy". You should check out all quests listed. Took me some time :)! Just wait wait and wait and look for them :)

I'm sure you need to go to federal controlled systems and I also think federal controlled stations. But this might be wrong. Also I think only federal NPCs will give you these missions. But this could also be wrong.

Technically any system with a federal minor faction you're at least cordial with can give it to you

I had the same issues myself. Just try to be in a Federation system and look on the mission billboard. See if you can find a mission you can do that's titled along the lines of "Federal Navy" or the like. The missions vary from simple donation types, deliver cargo from point A to point B, bring cargo from somewhere else, to killing x-amount of whatever NPC's.

don't know if they changed it, but later on in some of those higher ranks, I ranked up without a follow up mission

Also don't forget! Even if you don't rank up yet, doing missions AFTER you hit 100% on a rank before you have done the promotion mission will also count towards progress to the rank after that, and so on!

Due to my issues with the whole "Where do I rank up?" thing, I did a butt-tonne of mission randomly, until when I had my problem solved I had like 2 rank up missions and I skipped from 100% Recruit, past Cadet and into 53% Midshipman! So just keep that in mind once you hit 100% of a given rank.

I assume it works on all ranks and any faction(Feds, Imperials and Alliance), so I hope that helps.

also, I'm pretty sure you need to be allied with the superfaction, which you probably are if you're at 100%, but your rep with the superfaction does degrade over time. So if you hit 100% a month ago and haven't done anything for the fed since, you might be at 75% now, which I think prevents you from being able to rank up till you become allied again.

Nope, wasn't allied at all first time.

You have to be cordial with the faction you wish to receive the navy promoting mission from. And it is a hit and miss - I sometimes receive no missions for days, then other times I get many and different types, like delivery, smuggling, assassination.

I want to point out, you must be cordial with the minor faction that also GIVES you the mission. I was wondering where the missions were at since I was cordial with the Feds, but then I see the missions keep coming up as rewuirements not met. Then I realised the requirement of cordial applys to the subfaction, as in, the mission giver. So they have to like you too.

Now I'm wondering why the Fed wants me to smuggle slaves..

They reason it as covert op - possibly to frame someone or for some other political machinations only the Devil itself can appreciate.
