Extra ships and parts
When you put something in storage does it stay at the station you are currently at or can you access it from any station

it stays at that station.

but you can request transfer of a ship or part from another station. it takes time and credits. The further away you want them the more you wait and more credits it costs.

Ok guess I will wait till I want to do alot of replacements that way everything is at one base

i called a system my home system, added it to my bookmarks and i have my stuff there. so yeah it's a good idea.

i think individual stations have a limit for storage so if you fill up storage in one hop onto another station.

I have a central station I base myself out of, makes life a lot easier since all my spare parts and all my ships are centralised.

Do cargo racks stay filled with cargo in storage? Or will I lose the content when storing it at a station?

You can't store filled Cargo Racks. You have to empty them before swapping them for another part, selling them or even moving them to a different slot within the ship.

Thanks!
I was afraid to even try that, I didn't want to lose my cargo should the game decide to discard it without a warning :)

that only applies to ships.

Module storage is hard-capped at 60. So, if you have 45 modules at 1 station, you can only have 15 at another.

I am just starting out. For now I think it is cheaper to simply sell my adder and buy a new one once I find a home port

That's assuming your home port sells the Adder and the parts you need for it.

If I store the adder now and say next week I am really far away and decide buying a Adder locally is cheaper than transporting my old one. If I sell the old one that is so far away do I take a loss on sell price or do you get the same amount as if you were in that system

don't know if it's still the same, but selling a ship with modules on it, will give you 10% less money, as selling the modules on their own

Ok thanks for the info. I was not sure if you have to pay transport cost to get your ship to your current system if you try to sell it. Guess we are about to find out

So if I store a ship in system A and travel to system D where I decide to sell it I got docked the amount to have the ship transfered to system D
