Any alternatives to VoiceAttack?

Are there any FREE Alternatives to VoiceAttack that actually work and are not out of date? And if so any "how to's" to install it and to get it working poperly?

It has severe limits on your triggers, I think it was 20 total. So, with E:D it's not really an option...

If you have an Android Tablet / Smartphone you may use Roccat Power grid (no idea about the price).
Well, you can use a additional USB Numpad = 18 additional Keys.
As alternative use the fake F16 MFDs (44 additional Keys) from Thrustmaster but that's more expensive than Voice Attack.
Or get a Hotas ! (180 € - 250 €uro) ;-)

Or buy Voice attack and use it for other games too... ;-)
I use it for Space Hulk Deathwing, and shouting out "To me, my Battle Brothers !" is much more fun than pressing F2 + F... (it's priceless, but other may think you have lost your mind) ;-)
You can even use voice attack to control teamspeak... (Talk to channel for X seconds or until saying "Over", change channel with a voice comand,...)

Yeah, its much better to "fork over the dough" for VA, than to use the demo version before purchase, or essentially the "free trial"

Even just owning the basic software, allows you to write your own commands for VA, which can include macros.

Add a Voice pack, for applicable game(s), and you can get a whole new layer of depth.
It is very customizalbe,
As far as tutorials go,
are you asking how to set up the VA software and make commands?

Im pretty sure HCS voice pack, has a whole youtube playlist dedicated to setting up the software, and even installing and using the various packs you may pick up, along the line.

My alternative to VA was a HOTAS with 6 buttons, 7 four way hats and an analog mini-joystick. With all those there was really no need for me to use VA anymore.

Do it - it's well worth the money! But don't expect it letting you to skip on some important setting up things, like training a windows speech recognition engine, or creating some specific macros that you would like to use. :)

If you're ever playing with other people, do THEM a favour, and use PUSH TO TALK. Nobody wants to listen to you talking to your computer...

My case in point was that you don't get around the SRE or macros no matter what you do.
