Just set up another fire group, and swap the firegroups,
OR, do both,
Set up a fire group, with a KW and guns,
Set up a fire group with just your guns....
Win-Win.
3 or More firegroups at all times...much accuracy, much success, no missing-much combat yum yum, and laughing
A "good" top-level fast KWS scan roll will do a KWS scan in 2.5 seconds. No need to switch fire groups...just verify the target is wanted and start shooting - the KWS scan completes while you're fighting.
I have never tried to mod anything I suppose their are instructions somwhere.
Still looking at what Voice Attack dose. May be I can find that video again and ask the tuber how he dose it.
Now I have it on the same trigger as my beams. First time I hit the NPC it just takes a 2.5 second burst of beam laser to do a KWS scan. I can pretty much auto-scan targets while fighting instead if having to switch fire groups.
the engineers mod takes scan time down to 2.5 seconds from 10. you lose some range on the scanner but its so fast you don't need that crazy long range anymore.
As they dont hit as hard as my other fixed weapons-im looking at you plasma!
Since they are bound to the same fire command across all fire groups, it's easy to just press:
N or M to switch between them and continue firing with my keyboard and mouse, FA-off set up.
Making your firegroups is essential in building your ship..
@Droidling,
Are you running small multicannons, on your cobra?
The smalls are down, and far back, so it could be, if they are gimballed, the tracking is not allowing you to fire, as the target is too high above you?
Just a thought....id look at working on improving the pitch control of your Cobra III, that is how it wins in a turn fight,
Remember, the faster the cobra goes, the worse it turns,
So, slow down and pitch up, when using FA-on in that thing...
