How fast can the Anaconda go?
Hey guys, I recently just got an Anaconda and I am loving how useful the ship is, I can do passenger missions, trade, do combat and explore all in one big mean looking ship... But one thing that I think that really damages the Anaconda is speed, my god, my current fit for it does combat and passenger missions because I like to do both from time to time, and It cruises at 170ms and boosts to 210ms or something.

I will never be able to do this, but how fast can the Conda go? Modded and everything, is it possible to make it go over 400ms? That would be awesome.

Anyway thanks!

Timi.

I use www.edshipyard.com to try out different fits and engineering. You could maybe go 400 m/s if you were to D rate and engineer Grade 5 lightweight mods on everything except the thrusters and FSD. Only one way to find out ;)

I personally prefer coriolis https://coriolis.edcd.io/ for ship calculations, to each their own.

Absolute max you'll get out of it seems to be 361M/s boost. Thats with a jumpspec conda.

Since Filling it up with fuel tanks only reduced that by 2m/s you won't gain anything by reducing weight any further.

The ship you are looking for is the cutter. It has good combat capability, huge internals, acceptable jumprange, and most of all, it is fast. Like, catch up to an un-engineered viper fast.

Another option is the clipper, but it's a downgrade in internal size, hardpoints compared to conda.

Anaconda can't get beyond 271 speed and 362 boost. In combat loadout you can get ~258\345 with g5 dirty thrusters and less if you slap on it some more engeneers upgrades.

Ah right okay, so close to sidewinder speed I guess!

The Cutter seems nice, but not really an Imperial player, but might have a look someday when I get time!

400m/s is pretty zippy for an Anaconda, I can only wish I had the time and money to go engineer and fit it for 400m/s in combat, but oh well, I can dream though ;)
