Any Decent versions of Frontier: Elite II.
I searched and found a free version and one that was still being sold with donation made to it. I haven't fully researched this. But I thought they made a version later that removed some the bugs. I kind of want to have a copy of this game for nostalgia but I think all I can get now is emulated downloads. I wasn't sure if there was one that ran in Dos Box that was improved. If anyone knows what the best copy of this game is I would like to know. I tried the amiga version on emulater but think that only had 2 versions. one was AGA that had some bugs fixed. I wasnt sure if the bugs were just in certain systems in the game or all systems. It seemed some the trading menus were messed up. I wasnt sure these things got fixed in a later release of that game or not. This has always been a mystery to me. I loved that game just had trouble with some the trading menus.

There is GLFrontier which doesn't change any of the graphics but runs the game in a GL wrapper or whatever at high resolutions.

There's also Oolite which is a recreation of the original Elite.

theres another open source inspired game called pioneer ( inspired by frontier but not a direct clone, but plays very much like frontier 3)

Oolite is a good Elite clone, for Frontier, your best best is Pioneer!

You will need to ask Konami about that I'm afraid :-( Chances are that you can only get a Pachinko machine Gametek which went and disappeared.

Publishing is weird.

If you want a legal copy, you will have to find it used (and get a floppy drive).

GET IT BECAUSE THEMED PACHINKO MACHINES EXIST.

What game are you interested in specifically, OP? Frontier is in the Frontier store[www.frontierstore.net] and Frontier 2 is in Ebay[www.ebay.com] as we speak.
