Tips and Advice
Wanted to share some things (I think) I have learned about how the game works, and to ask some questions for anyone who knows the answer. Don't read if you want to figure out how the game works on your own; I found it frustrating some times figuring out the mechanics.
-Bouncers/Security Guards (guys in black) will not notice you while they are moving, and they will only spot you if they are facing your direction when they stop moving (and you are close enough). Beware the guard on the campus party level who "hides" behind the door just to the left as you enter the building.
-Bodies with the blue police light cannot be moved and you can be tagged as the killer if a npc spots you near a body, so try to stay away until the policeman removes the light or medics take the body away.
-You can get items from the guy in the trench coat and hat that appears on some levels.
-In my experience, people cannot "see" into pools or water unless they are also in the pool or water; you can stab someone in the water unnoticed even if someone is standing right next to you on land.

Questions:
What is the purpose of the bars/meters that sometimes appear over people's heads?
Do the "!" above people's heads mean anything other than that they are scared because they saw a body? Are they more likely to spot you? I can't tell.

The red bar is a measure of how paranoid/berserked they get. Get to maximum and they will try to murder you(the player) on sight.

The "!" just means that they are freaked out by witnessing a body or someone dying. They will try to get to safety before they calm down again. Noticed that sometimes someone who is already panicking forgets to call the cops if they witness you murder someone while they are in the "!" state. Dunno if this is a bug though.

The item salesman does not mind you killing anyone in front of him or report any bodies. He also does not count towards the kill score.

Throwing a sleeping person into fans, overboard on the boat level, or off the roof on the rooftop levels, counts as accidental deaths and wont get you in trouble.

Ambulance personnel don't care about murdering anyone and they wont call the cops on bodies they find. They will just quietly go about their business as long as you don't try to kill them.

Thanks for these. I was wondering what a purpose of the guy in the trench coat was for ages!

I'll have to pay closer attention. He seems to come into the level 2 ways. 1) via car (similar to the FBI's car), or 2) walks in from the side of the screen.

Also, I've seen him panic when spotting a dead body, and even running to call the police. ....Yes, there's even times when he counts as a required kill. And other times, it's not (you can kill right in front of him and he don't give a flip, and doesn't count towards the required kills). It must depend on the stage.

Another thing. There are certain levels he comes in only when he is called on the phone. Others, it seems you have to wait for him a certain amount of time.

Regarding the '!' status of the NPCs... I've found you can kill some people when others are in this state. It's as if they're in a panicked state and are less likely to know what's going on.

When the cop gives up chasing you and is headed back to his car, helicopter, horse, lift, boat, etc. This gives you a very short opportunity to go on a killing spree. Just get away from any bodies the instant the cop reaches whatever he was headed back to. Because, as you're killing, and if you're seen - the NPCs will try to run towards the cop as long as he's still in the level.

There are 2 last things I'll mention that you can research, or try to find out for yourself in the game.

1) Cop Traps. I don't mean using a regular trap on a cop to kill him. I'm talking about getting the cop stuck to where he can't get out from where he is.

2) (A) Run Around. Like, you give the cop the "Run Around". I'm not referring to trap doors (teleporters) and windows. This is where the player can easily move around something, but the cop will want to go around to the other side to get to you. It's funny watching him go back and forth. But these don't always work as well if the cop is after you for the 3rd time.

There is kind of a 3rd thing, but since it's so similar to the previous one, the 'Run Around', I'll categorize with that. This is a bug on some of the level maps. But instead of being an object you move around, the cop will try to get to you by going to another room or on the other side of a wall. I currently know of only 3 stages where this bug is. Roof Top (and Alien Ship) Party, and Campus Party.

I found similar things about the guy in the trenchcoat, I just want to add that he doesn't always give you items, sometimes I'm chasing him around and nothing happens.

He has to open his trench coat to show you his items and you won't get anything when you play as cop.
Sometimes I even got items twice while on one map. He moved in-between.

And in Helloween party level there's a guy who is just dressed like this man but it's just normal person, who will call police.
great!i love this idea!

How does this occur in Campus Party? I've been stuck on that level for ages.

I just beat the campaign yesterday, really fun game but sometimes I'm not even sure about the game mechanics sometime.

There has been times I have killed peopled and nobody saw even though they was looking in my direction but was below me, it is pretty confusing on some levels specially on the level when you play as the lady for the first time. I just used the phone and they all turned in to zombies.

And on some levels there is nowhere to hide the levels, maybe I missed it but is there like a tutorial in this game? Even though I beat the campaign I'm not sure if I completed it thr correct way

If there is only a small group of people left and you want to to disperse them, dance among them.

Some of the guests are gonna feel weirded out and leave.
