thought about ending
so spoilers for the end ahead so beware if you haven't finished the game.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated it. the cutsceen ended with styx pointing his dartshooter at Djarek, after they had been on functional terms and nothing had happened in the last 5 minutes to change that. then it just cut to the damn credits. there is no satisfaction in that ending, no closure or anything interesting just the "what happens next?" cliffhanger. sucks ass and i hope the next game is better with better writers. dont get me wrong i loved the gameplay and the story but it ended a chapter too early and left it in the middle of an escape.

Didn't Djarek throw Styx off of the ship and try to get him killed by the big golem (hence the final mission) at the end?
Not exactly 'functional terms' if I'm remembering that correctly.

Djarek told Styx to get one turret, and he would get the other. but Djarek got blocked by rocks so styx had to get the other turret for him. He didnt throw Styx off they were going to team up to get rid of the Golem but there was some problems that caused Styx to have to get rid of it. i can say that Djarek leaving without waiting for Styx could be ground for breaking those terms but with how they have been interacting it didnt seem like it.

Yeah, I remember a bit better now (it's been a while as you can imagine)
Considering they were always very much "we're only allies so long as we share a goal and benefit from being together" it never surprised me the way the ending went.
It's not the most impressive ending or anything, especially considering it kind of serves as a cliffhanger, perhaps for a 3rd Styx game, but I thought it was fine.
The story in general for SoD largely took a backseat compared to MoS imo, as they seem to have prioritised smoothing out the gameplay over making a super invested story. It's fair to hope for a better story (or at least ending) in the possible next game.
