Steam reports new DualSense firmware available... Firmware updater says no

ISSUE
When connecting the DualSense controller to Steam wirelessly, a message pops up that informs of an updated firmware available. However, after installing and running Sony's firmware updater, it reports the controller's firmware as "up to date."

Steam's firmware update message does not appear when connecting the DualSense to Steam via USB.

STEPS
- Press PS button on DualSense to turn it on and connect to Steam
- Firmware update message appears
- Install and run Sony's firmware updater (version 1.5.0.2)
- Connect DualSense to PC with USB cable

RESULTS
- Firmware updater reports DualSense as already up-to-date

EXPECTED
- Steam's firmware update message shouldn't appear unless an update is available
