[Solved] (DS4) Mouse cursor drifts in game launcher/config programs
ISSUE
When using a pre-game launcher or configuration program while the DS4 is active, the mouse cursor will constantly be in motion even if both the controller and mouse are completely still, making it nearly impossible to use the launcher.

OS
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1

STEAM VERSION
Beta (Mar 9 2018 at 15:19:17)

CONTROLLER TYPES
Dual Shock 4 (September 2016 revision)

CONNECTION TYPE
Wired and Wireless

GAME
Most games are affected, particularly games with configuration programs

STEPS
- Turn on or connect the Dual Shock 4.
- Install Ys: The Oath in Felghana, with the default "Gamepad" template applied.
- Launch the game's "Configuration Tool" through Steam.

RESULTS
The mouse cursor is constantly in motion while the configuration tool is open.

EXPECTED
The mouse cursor shouldn't be moving unless the mouse is moving.

This seems to be caused by Steam overriding the controller configuration and assigning the DS4's right analog stick to mouse movement, with the deadzone set to zero or lower.

This is a problem that was introduced in a recent Steam beta update. I did not notice this behavior at all until a few days ago.

Okay it's better. The Autocalibration feature wasn't very consistent for me - it returned a wide range of results for both sticks each of the three times I used it, but manually setting it worked well enough.

Thanks for the feedback. We're gonna make the autocalibration a little more conservative.

I'm struggling with this on my DualShock 4 using Steam Big Picture. Doesn't happen in Big Picture but the moment you center into something running in Windows or a game launcher for example, the cursor will start to drift. Fooled with the calibration but it made no difference.

Have you tried a manual deadzone adjustment yet?? I don't think you did so I just asked...Sorry...
