Steam Controller

Is it possible to buy these anymore?
I see no button to purchase this on the steam store, does anybody know if they are just out of stock, or have they stopped making these?

They stopped making them in 2019. If you want one, check ebay, facebook marketplace. A new one in box is going to be expensive. But used ones are reasonably priced. If you go that route, be sure to get it with the dongle.

They've been discontinued since 2019, so the only way to actually obtain one of them is to buy one secondhand from ebay & similar marketplaces, sadly.

These controllers are not being sold by Valve anymore. They are discontinued, and the only way to buy them is from third party sellers. I apologize for this news.

That sucks, I wanted on for my living room steam deck since my long hdmi cable just makes it easy to trip on and get stuck when I am sitting on the opposite side of the room.

You may be better off with a regular controller that supports PC gaming anyway, and there are tons of them. Don't get me wrong: I love my Steam controller, and I'm still using one to this very day.

But it's also fair to say that this isn't for everyone and sometimes you'll need to heavily customize your settings before a game becomes playable. It's not the kind of controller you just casually pick up and start using, and that can easily work against you.

So don't feel too disappointed...
They were being liquidated at $7.50 each a few years back.

I haven't checked if they support it on Steam yet but the next best option would be the Dual Sense Pro. It has grip buttons and a touchpad. The problem is being able to configure those grip buttons on anything other than a PS5. After that, the Dual Sense controller would be a good alternative.

No thanks I would rather just buy one off of Ebay than in the steam discussions.
