It depends if you speed through the story or not

regardless you can definitely get 40+ and faaaar more than that if you do all the content, and it even has a NG+ option

Pretty much a "Tales of" standard. Play through once, use collected "grade" to unlock bonuses and transfer various things into the new game, and use that to unlock more features, different skits, etc. Repeat until you 100% the game.

So base on what you are saying, its essentially like Dark Souls where I can just repeatedly do NG+ as many as I want?
Given that ive seen everything possible in my first playthrough i have 27 hours played and cleared it 2 minutes ago

Yes, but it doesn't really increase in difficulty on NG+ unless you specifically save up the higher difficulty modes for it.

I'm playing on Hard and then jumping straight to Chaos on NG+ to even out the bonuses I'll buy.
There is an achievement that you cant get only after beating the game 3 times and win the last boss fight without retry.
on my first playthrough (more of a casual run) it took me 32 hours.

Those achievements have an "or" attached to them that make them trigger either if you do the game that many times or if you beat the battle on a certain difficulty, from the wording.
Took 35 hours on hard.
After 8 hours I feel like I am barely scraping the surface. I don't even have Denzel / Rose yet.

If you don't speed through it (play a few hours a night) it could take a while to get through.
I've played about 12 hours and I just got Edna, so I'm assuming I have quite a bit to go. I'd say you can easily get 40+ hours out of this game on just one playthrough.

I am playing on the hardest difficulty possible for a first playthrough and am fully exploring though, so I have a feeling my time is a little slower than most others.
Around 10 inches.
