SPOILER: Question about the ending
After I completed both Zestiria and Alisha's Story, I can't understand what happened to Sorey.
In the cutscenes after the credits of the base game, you can see a more adult Mikleo saved by a very "Soreysh" figure. But in the dlc, set before the cutscene of the ending, he is just....a light(?).

In order to prevent Maotelus from being corrupted by malevolence again in the future, Sorey decided to become Maotelus' vessel and lies dormant until the next Shepherd with resonance which is on-par with Sorey appears. So now, Rose is the shepherd since Sorey is in a "loooong sleep".

You can read the detailed explanation of why over here, the info are taken from the official ♥♥♥ Zestiria & Berseria guidebook.:

Plus, we only see Sorey and Maotelus from a very far distance in the DLC, so we can only see the light. Their actual body are down there, the place where Artorius' Throne collapsed (I think).

Thanks, but wait, does that explanation contains also Berseria spoilers? I didn't open it, because I haven't played it yet :D

So alternate ending when you kill heldalf in hunting grounds shows that maotelus goes mad?

There is no spoilers about Berseria, so it is okay to read it. :NorminOrange:
