and no achievement? I'm disappointed!

Is she some sort of fixer? SR games always have some sort of middle man to screen jobs for runners but I really don't see why Is0bel cannot do that with her Matrix skill and bypass totally bypass any middleman. Just because people like Auntie Cheng has soldiers does not mean player should always depend on a boss for jobs. Small time players should have their own way to survive.

I suppose Paul Amsel best describes what you mean. He's no underworld hardass, he's just an extremely well connected man, having a lot of contact accross the world. A bit like Bain from Payday 2 actually.

Edit : Paul Amsel is your fixer in Dragonfall, since I don't know if you ever played it or not. And unlike Auntie, I really appreciated the man.

Is0bel is too little and unsecure to play mind games with criminal underworld. But would the team break from Kindly Cheng and go seeking their own fortune - I can see Is0bel doing it, why not.

The same Is0bel who continuously almost botched her own personal mission because she couldn't hold her temper in check, and the same Is0bel who even admits she does not understand people and cannot handle them? I am somewhat doubting that she would fit in a role where she would have to handle people all the time.

Pls hold on a minute. What I was trying to say is, the whole "Shadowrun world needs fixers" idea is weird. Is Auntie Cheng a shadowrunner herself? What skills does a fixer have that a normal shadowrunner has not? Job acquisitions? Security? It is not about Is0bel or any other particular runner, it is about what exactly is so unique that only a fixer can do and a runner cannot do. There is none. Nothing Auntie Cheng can do that a runner cannot do, because if you really think about it, shadow runners are a bunch of highly skilled people capable of almost anything, and fixers like Auntie Cheng are just middleman people talking and giving attitude without actually lifting a finger. What I want to say is, as the player character, we runners should run the show just by ourself , fixers are redundant. If Auntie Cheng represent the necessary of a gang, then the player should have the same ability to establish his/her own gang. It is like the real world, where you could go work for someone or be your own boss by opening your own business.

Do you remember your talk with Gobbet? I think she answers part of that question.

I think she said someone has to make sure the job giver is legit, and that the job is payable upon completion or such things. But that is not something the runners cannot do themselves.

I mean runners can hack, have powerful drones, powerful guns, mages at all, why listen to someone that can do nothing? Just because she "knows people"? Bad.

Well, that's Auntie for sure. That's why I mentioned Paul Amsel, because he's more of a decent fixer.

Rather than just giving us jobs from verified fixers, he's a true leader.

Edit: From your point of view, I think you're more likely to be the hirable runners who are true freelances, which rather than working fulltime in a team are working by the contract.

Or Gaichu for example, who set up his own run himself.

Did he now? You mean the time he worked for the Wampoa and got in a total mess? lol

Well, that's one job for sure. But there's his trust mission where he set up an ambush against his former Red Samurai team. While killing his former team was the main objective, the objective of the run itself was to steal a prototype drone. And he sets up the entire run himself.

Unlike the other trust missions which were plainly "I have stuffs to do", this one was a paid run. And Auntie did call our courage/boldness on doing sidejobs.

Yes I remember that now. Wish there was more of that. The side jobs. Money is not enough in this game.

after doing the companions personal quests the game seemed to give me a duplicate inventory of their items on hand. the stuff they hold personally.

knowing what you want to buy is also important. you can hold off on upgrades till the best stuff is available usually.

so knowing whats the best and buying it as it becomes available.

right when I get into the game, I get the arm cyberware thats +1 quickness +1 ranged attack I think. cheap essence cost, not too expensive.

I go rifles and pick up the free rifle doing Racter's raid on Ares. and hold off on selling data to LAW until about to depart for the final mission. and always get your paydata. should be fine, even without the glitch giving me loads of extra gear to sell. (I gave Racter two copies of Koschei cuz ....that was stupidly over powered.

guy's load out is just the free 20 strength rifle, an ares 16 damage burst rifle, and a tazer then I just cyber him out. and some 8 armor armor.

not sure what else you'd want to buy. couple minor purchases I guess bought a fetish and some very low tier spells I believe just healing and magic resistance.

Yeah if you go with a deck instead of just taking Isobel thats probably expensive.
