Hmm, I don't think so, but I find this idea very interesting. Would that work, programming-wise?
This game is also available for mobile. There's no processing power to fetch.
That would speak against your thesis.
This game keeps track of the progress once the game is close which is different than a mining threat which is usually hackers stealing information of the person form ones computer that is separate form the game keeping track. Most people get confuse when a threat appears attach to a game believing its the game fault.
I was a victim in a mining threat and found certain files that contain what they were looking for. Took me at least 4 days to find some on my computer what appears to be copies. What I notice with this is the threat does damage to ones computer of a degree and many don't know where to look on their computer in order to know if they're being affected. Having two powerful anti virus, 1 powerful active malware remover, and 1 powerful registry cleaner help stop this threat. Of course it was a brand new Trojan design for mining and remote take over.
This game how ever has no such affected. There's no threats on board. Due keep in mind ant-virus programs can flag anything if such programs behaves like a threat but its not. Also, its known anti virus companies will flag just so they can get more people to switch to buy their stuff its a known tactic that has damaging results. Lastly, it can be a false positive.
If you uninstall it and put it back on it can be a fact something got to the files. Or something was already infected that spread. Technical problems can cause graphic drives to heat up and using more than they should. This game had a big problem when it came to GPU when I notice months to year or so back causing GPU to sky rocket. They fix that I will say not all graphic cards can handle most games as they're advertise even games that takes less GPU and CPU to run good.
Incorrect. It isnt the graphics settings that is even causing the true problem. Its as OP stated. I dont think this is a miner program, but it does the same thing as a miner does.
This game is HEAVILY reliant on your processor, not your GPU. The graphics part of AdCap is certainly controlled by the GPU, but ALL the number crunching, which there is a lot of in this, will be on your CPU.
Lets use Earth and the first product as an example.
When you first start, the bar takes about 3 seconds to profit. As you increase the level, the bar timer will shorten. This timer, is what is causing the issues, and is what puts the stress on the CPU. Now, when you multiply that by 10x3 you can see where the processing power is required.

and deletes it.
Steam apps are known to get infected on a computer so be careful when outside attackers targeting. Be careful what you download and beware of what you click on sites. AV will detect if infected happens. AV will also make false positive to delete. AV will also delete by marking a underhand tactic to get more people to buy their stuff depending on the AV company. Monopoly AV companies are known to do this knowing which one is important.
More information is needed since different people have different experience. With troubleshooting the more information the better. I do recall a problem with a file yet it hasn't been determined what cause it. You will think they will pin it and last I check they have for years now it is gone. You can ask Steam or the Hippo about it but I don't think much will be clear as I recall confusion on both ends. You can also search it online I do recall sources talking about it perhaps some one with more advance knowledge can help you.
Due keep in mind it is common for games files to be corrupt or infected of a target. Good luck.
