Tames not laying eggs
Hi there.
I am playing alone (no single player settings) and run into an issue with my Baryonyx and Tek Parasaur. Both of them do not lay eggs. I reduced the egglaying intervall to 0.001 and the Ankylosaurus is popping eggs out like no tomorrow, but those two (both female) drop non at all.
Poop does happen occasionally, just no eggs.

Any idea what's going on?

There's no specific thing that I can think of which would prevent them from dropping eggs. Could just be really bad RNG?

Is the anky mate boosted at all? Having a mate nearby will increase the chances of a creature dropping eggs, as will having an oviraptor on wander in the area as well. Try covering those bases too to see if it makes a difference to the egg proliferation, perhaps?

I only got 1 anky, so it isn't boosted and when I said it is popping out eggs I mean that I get 4-7 per 2 minutes. That's how high I have tuned the setting to force an egg drop on the baryonyx (mate boosted) or the parasaur, but neither provides.
I can think of one thing that might be happening:

If you changed the settings on the egg laying interval to make it super long, it sort of stays that way until it actually runs out and it lays an egg.

People have adjusted the mating interval by setting it in the wrong direction, and a tame would end up with like a 43 day long timer. That's _days_.

Sometimes people have had success by cryopodding and then throwing out the dino to reset that. Other times people have reported no success with that.

Update:
The Baryonyx layed 1 egg and than stopped again (settings still at 0.001), new tames: Argentavis and Tech Stego are rapid fire shooting eggs out.
Parasaur still nothing.
No clue what this is, if it were the old timer it should have fixed itself for the baryonyx so it is something else.. thanks for the suggestion though.
Maybe try putting them in a cryopod and throwing them out again, to force them to reset and reload, see if that makes a difference? And if you don't have cryos yet, take them to the obelisk and upload/download them to do the same thing.

I had done that previously to no effect, but just in case repeated it: Again - no effect.

Try a different bary. Could also be an anomaly with that specific one. Spawn one in and tame for example or just naturally tame one to see.

Are you using any mods which could be interfering with the process in some way? For example, might you be using a dino mod which replaces the bary and parasaur with modded versions that aren't affected by the multiplier the same as a vanilla ankylo? Or maybe you're using a mod like Structures Plus which has a structure that collects eggs automatically, and the bary/parasaur are in range of the structure so their eggs are being picked up at regular intervals, but the anky is outside it's range so those eggs are not?

I only use the S+ crafting / Building mod and the s+ Spyglass, the base is set up with:
Fridge / Preserving bin
Smithy, Fabricator, Chembench, Industrial Cooking station (the one for kibble and the one that just cooks meat fast)
the industrial smelter and:
2 feeding troughs, 2 generators, 4 ACs, 1 greenhouse with large crop plots, 2 compost bins, 2 vaults, 5 regular cabinettes, 11 water spigots,

Might be missing something small, but those are the appliances I have places. I will try to move them around again and see if they have more luck next to my stego - but there shouldn't be anything since I avoid the s+ breeding helper tools. From memory: they were kinda buggy when I tried them years ago.

Your explained set up, because you're not using the egg collecting features of S+, wouldnt be a contributing factor.

Final post from me:
I have not figured out what went wrong and ended up killing the offending Tames. Everyone else is laying eggs as they should.
For prosperities sake:
I double checked:
Gender (female)
Follow status (not following)
Game settings (0.001 egg laying interval as well as 1, never more than 1)
Cryoed - uncryoed the tames
Moved the tames
Went fighting with the Baryonyx
Seperated feeding troughs into 1 per food type

The Baryonyx layed a single egg, the Tek Parasaur layed non at all.

If anyone stumbles over this in the future: Good luck and if you find one, please share your fix.
