How fast does your hunger meter decrease
So, basically my question is how fast does the hunger meter decrease in this game?
I hope it doesn't go too fast that we do nothing else but looking for food, there are survival games out there that made this mistake.

From my personal experience, I've never had food be an issue. There's plenty around whilst you're playing the game, in pretty much every biome too. It'll decrease quicker when you're super active and possibly based on weather too. I feel like once you're playing on a populated server, you will be using it quicker - but at the same time, you'll be able to steal from farms, kill them for meat etc.

It really depends. Your stats naturally drain very slowly. However, certain things will increase this rate.

Hot weather makes you drain water more quickly due to sweat, while cold weather makes your body burn food to stay warm.
Running costs stamina. Draining stamina costs water, replenishing it costs food.
If you're injured, your body will consume food more quickly to repair itself.

So if you're hurt and running everywhere and it's cold, you'll go through food quickly. If you lay down in a nice temperature, it can take a long time.

Well you might hope is doesnt decrease to fast, but on the other hand - This is a SURVIVAL game. Eating and drinking are the basic for survival, so it should play a big part, and a real threat.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, that sounds like a system I can enjoy. Can't wait for the early access or the alpha :)

The mechanics are sound, but the RATE at which it goes down needs to be looked at. Yes, it's a survival game, but it shouldn't be this much of a struggle to maintain status quo if you expect the player to advance.

I second this, We need a much slower food depletion and food to not spoil as quickly. Once I see this implemented then i'l consider playing it again.

Its part of Survival mechanics.... watch for food/water... later on u get some recipes to make some great food to manage ur food/water and even ur biome problems

The rate of depletion is really too high. Ive been playing survival games for a very long time. Yes realism is nice but at this rate, it sucks the fun out of everything u want to do. Also the weather system of being too hot or cold is not setup correclty either. U die of heat when smimming under water. You light a torch or campfire and it doesnt protect u from cold. Just cooked 15 steaks? eat them all because the time cooking the steaks was almost more lethal then that tyrex over there. I mean . 15 steaks what fatass eats 15 steaks and is hungry 3 minutes later.

I love the game and i'm really pleased with the work the devs and staff put in this game. And im sure you guys will balance everything really good. U have been listening to the community and thats a good recipe for succes.
