BTW im using a CRT, i have a neurological condtion that prevents me from using LCD/Plasma screens, so i dont have a backlight, only basic brightness settings.
Most games dotn make it so dark at night, i know they are going for realism, but i cant do alot at night, having to keep swtichign between my torch, and using my otehr tools/weapons in pitch black is not fun, so i cant play much at night,
Craft torches, that's their entire point.
Just make sure to redo it when you log on each time, because it will reset.
no it is not supposed to be that dark.
he probbably turned off all dx11 stuff to boost fps. (like i did) and that makes the night go from manageable to absolutely pich black.
cranking the gamma used to fix this but now that is no longer possible.
gamma 5,gamma 3,gamma 4
whatever you type it does nothing.
where it used to be able to turn night into day
remove the -d3d10 command line from your launch options.
when i added that my night's turned pich black.
and the torch barely lit up anything
I concur this is in fact a problem I saw. Testing it now, without those options so black you stand there with a fire lit and torch just to stay warm, and hop something doesn't crawl up on you lol
