Thanks for checking my profile.

I'm a massive introvert, so it is very unlikely that I will accept your friend requests, but here is a few suggestions to increase your chances:

- Whatever you are buying/selling, I'm not interested.
- Have your profile public, so I can have a peek and get an idea of what you like.
- Not having any VAC ban helps, doesn't matter the game, it's a question of integrity.
- It also help if you aren't a 12 year old edgelord :)

After the 2015 and many voluntary (and slightly unvoluntary) DLC purchases, and with the ability to review each DLCs individually, i decided to revise my review in a more positive light.

the 2015 Steam edition contain a decent content selection in my opinion, you won't find super advanced control systems, but since it includes a german line now, reading the manual for the different safety systems is recommended.

It's reasonably fun if you like trains the 3D cabs controls could use being a little more mouse friendly as the mouse motion required is not always intuitive for the control type or the perspective the lever is in.

The game controls cannot be remapped in any ways, that's quite a sore point for me, being an AZERTY keyboard user.

There are some serious optimization problems in their engine, regardless of how dated the sceneries may look, you WILL get frame drops on the more intense routes.

While i can recommend the game as it is currently the best of it's class (as far as train simulation goes), this is not your typical "must have all DLCs" kind of game. The base game give you a wide range of railways (germany/england/usa) my opinion is that if you plan to purchase some DLCs to take some time to think about which aspects you enjoy in train simulation:

Electric? Diesel? Steam?
Freight? Passengers? Shunting?
Long routes through countryside? Busy commuter lines?

Also when buying routes or trains, keep in mind that each train come with a few scenarios for a given route, if you want to maximize the value of your purchase, you want to focus on a few routes you truly enjoy and a lot of trains and rolling stocks for it.

All trains are not created equal, some are very simple and "do the job", while others offer extremely detailed simulation aspects, please, do some research before purchasing one.

Lastly, while DLCs tend to be expensive, there are several sales through the year where you can grab content for a much lower price. Also the yearly re release is usually bundled with 3 different routes, while you get the engine upgrade for free, it's an exellent deal to grab the upgrade at 50-80% off.
