Wyvern egg not spawning help
(Btw I’m on laptop) I have just only resently joined ark and the wyvern nest (also deinonychus nest) aren’t spawning, I’m on valguero and play single player. My graphics is medium so I don’t lag if your wondering. I tried the prevent hibernation, Dino wipe command and Slomo as well as going on non dedicated server but it seems no nest spawns no matter what. I tried redownloading everything! Nothing seems to work and it’s making me annoyed. I beg the community for answers pls

My experience is mostly on dedicated servers, so I can't really help, other than to say that empty nests are common, while nests with eggs are rare.

I haven’t even seen any nest without the egg either

Best to avoid SP altogether IMO.

Since wyverns and deinonychus nests only spawn in some areas, the problem might be you've not looked in the right place.

Maps like the following: https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Spawn_Map_(Valguero) are available for each of the Ark maps, which gives you an idea where to find wild dinos, and accordingly, their nests.

Generally, you can find deinonychus nests south and east of the green obelisk. Lightning and Fire wyverns can be found if you draw a line due north of the green obelisk, and another line due east of blue obelisk, where the lines cross is where wyverns can be found.

However, both areas can be hazardous for new players. On the other hand, the easiest way to plunder either of their eggs can usually be done with a fast flyer, so doable for a new player, once you know the hazards, such as the adult wyverns and deinonychus will chase you, as well as any other dino who thinks you might make a good meal.

There are a lot of good YouTube videos that show you how, as well as where.

Single player. Spawning issues are a known issue with SP.

SP = single player, but in this context, it can also mean using the Ark client to create the world for you (non-dedicated server), as opposed to making or joining a dedicated server.

IMO= In My Opinion

I'm currently waiting on some mammals to give birth (on Valguero, on a dedicated server), otherwise I would take screenshots and upload them.

If you're ok with mods, I highly recommend the Creature Finder Deluxe mod:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1591643730

It will save you lots of time if you're looking for lost tames or trying to find dinos you want to tame. I can see quite a lot of wyverns and deinonychus on the map at this moment. The mod won't work properly unless you've used the "prevent hibernation" command properly. But also understand that I'm playing on dedicated server, which is not crippled like single player non-dedicated is, so I don't need the "prevent hibernation" command at all.

I don't have a clue about playing in single player non-dedicated, but that's my understanding. But whatever the mod's author says is probably correct. :)

To activate it, type Shift F8 simultaneously. Select a creature on the left side. Once one is selected, the top middle sections says "Click Here to Search". Click it. It will display a map on the bottom middle and a text list to the right of the map. You can use either one to select a dino. Click a dino on either one of them, then close the Creature Finder Deluxe window. You should now have a way point on your HUD to whatever dino you selected.

Edited Note: only Fire and Lightning wyverns exist on Valguero without other mods. They aren't listed under Wyverns, but rather under "Fire" and "Lightning".

If you don't see anything beyond your immediate area, Prevent Hibernation is not working properly.

You should definitely make a dedicated server if you can. It requires a mixture of both hardware and tech skills, but not a lot of either one.

Hardware requirements are driven mostly by disk space, RAM, and whether or not your router supports port forwarding. The latter is only an issue if you play with other players, if your router does not support NAT loopback. If it does not, other players not on your LAN can only join using your external IP, while players within your LAN must use the internal IP. If there is a way to specify both, I haven't a clue.

However, odds are if you're using a router you bought, it likely supports NAT loopback. If you're using a router supplied by your ISP, well, all I can say is that their incentives are not aligned with providing you a good one, nor allowing you to run servers if they charge you a flat rate.

The tech skills begin with being able to specify ports in your router, the mechanics of which vary between router software. If you can do that, you probably have enough tech skills to be able to run a dedicated server.

We use Ark Server Manager, a third party program, which provides a graphical user interface for specifying parameters on how you'd like the server to run. For example, a click of button to specify resource respawn rates, or selecting stealing birds and replace them with dimorphodons.

You can do the same thing by making text files yourself, but I don't know how.
