If it did work though, you'd be putting yourself in huge danger jumping off and standing still long enough to pod a creature, as the bosses tend to prioritise attacking players on foot over dinos, even if the dinos have done much more damage to them. I remember one time doing the dragon on my private server with friends, my yuty died to fire breath, and the dragon started after me while my friends on rexes were biting it's ankles. I actually kited the thing around the arena for a little while before it caught me, but he was dead set on chasing me and completely ignoring everything else. So even if pods did work, I don't know that you'd have the time to get the dino into it.
Thank you for the answer.
Here is my plan: I want to bring a MEK (for testing) into an island boss arena by deploying it in there and then cryo it when I killed the boss, because they do not spawn back from the arena
(My total playtime: ~1680 hour)
EDIT: Nevermind i misread. You can indeed cryo up the dinos in Tek Cave. Just not deploy them.
Or can a MEK spawn back from the arena?
