Difficulty offset not applying?

I like to play with a higher difficulty offset. Ingame the most you can do (unless its been changed, its been a while) is a 1.0, you can reduce the difficulty but not increase it past x1. To get around this, i set the Difficulty Offset to 2.0 in GameUserSettings.ini. However i have noticed that it doesnt seem to apply

With a x2 difficulty offset, level staggering is at intervals of 10, and max level is 300 instead of 150. Dinos spawn at levels 10-20-30-etc instead of 5-10-15-etc. But for some reason its just straight up not applying to my save :/

Id honestly like to increase the offset to x4, but seeing as its not working at all i figured id ask questions. Maybe i skipped a step, or how you go about this has changed? Worth noting i am using the DestroyWildDinos command to wipe the map and ensure the proper level dinos spawn

The difficulty offset can't go above 1.0, as you said. If you want to go higher than that, you have to set that to it's max, then add a new line 'OverrideOfficialDifficulty=#' into the game.ini file with the actual difficulty you are looking for.
