Do NOT buy ARK: Survival Ascended!

For an upgrade that was promised to be completely FREE. The team are now stabbing players in the back and are going to charge a BUCKET load of cash for the UE5 upgrade. They even call it a totally different name (although the game is the SAME as Survival Evolved) just so that they can get away with calling it a completely different game and hence being able to charge people for it.

I hereby propose that ALL Ark: Survival Evolved players BOYCOTT this game until Wildcard reverse their decision and go back to their original promise of releasing this upgrade for FREE. Yes FREE not 80 bloody dollars! But FREE!

I also suggest downvoting Ark:Survival Evolved to show the disdain that we, as players, have for Wildcard and their treachorous turnaround with the upcoming upgrade!

Wildcard do you really think you will get away with this?

Yeah this is BS. They ditch this game that we paid for and still haven’t fixed and now we are being forced to buy the upgrade because they are wiping servers.

From a pure Corporate point of view, the statement from Wildcard wasn't wrong when they said it's a free upgrade, cause you will get the game without addons for free, if you preorder Ark2 on Pc. From a customer point of view, it's one big scam to announce a free upgrade with a shady lawyer like business speech to be able to point out later, that what they said wasn't a lie.

I can't stand the idea that they will shut down all official servers with the release of the Remastered Version. To cut them maybe down to 25 Percent ok, but that and having to buy all DLC again is just a joke and a bad one too.

But the thing that baffles me most is why they will basically shut down official server support after announcing an upcoming update for June this year. It's like they just try to get the most out of ARK 1 before they pull the plug early.

I agree, so does a majority. This company put its final nail in the coffin for me. I started on Legacy then moved to Official, did mutations for over six years and It would take forever to do it again. I cant restart a 3rd time. We havent even received UE5 footage let alone Ark 2. Regardless there is no reason to buy from another WC or Snail game.

honestly i dont know why they ll release ARK: Survival Ascended .... instead of making this ark1 U5 Bullsht lot of work could be already done in ark 2 and now Expected release END 2024 like cmon we cant take them srsly for sure .... For me, I'm okay with buying the base game but ONLY because it includes Ark 2. BUT, I think if you have purchased the new base game AND already own the DLC maps, you should get the revamped maps for free.

I am not spending another penny on this game or any other game they bring out, i purchased Ark 1 and every season pass they released also have every dlc, same goes for my partner and son.

Wildcard is so in over their heads with UE5 they need to make a ARK 1 with UE5 and limited access Ark2 Beta to bug test for a year before Ark 2 comes out. And steal everyone's money doing it.

Yes, they are going to shut down official servers. They will make the save files available online so you can set up your own unofficial server using that save, or play single player mode on it. But you will not be able to play the official server any more, you will have to find other means to run it.

What I find interesting is that they cite UE5 still being new to them and they want to make ARK 2 the best they can, but turn around and re-release Ark as Ark Ascended....using UE5. I thought UE5 was new to them.....but they somehow are able to re-work a whole existing game using it. I call BS.

Sounds to me like they are making a money grab by this move....either out of greed or Wildcard is in a bad spot financially and trying to find a way to hold them over to the next big release.

Studio Wildcard is a Scammer, whit new studio names,
Cowards and Liar, ARK ash Atlas. How ever ARK the Center is never Finish, and ful bugs glitch, lightning bugs never fix ect ect ect ect. wel now they think F community ask again money for a old horse on UE 5. I am dont buy upgrade ark and Ark 2 crap wil be a flop
