Because of how many engram points you get versus how many you CAN spend, the trick is to only spend your points as you need them, not as you want them. Now if you're in a tribe, then that's different because then you can spread them out to different people.
but i too would like to see a slightly less med. crop plot , compass and jar :)
The thing is they can only put air drop points in certain locations and be thankful they aren't randomly placed it makes knowing where potential predators can come from easier and therefore safer to visit the air drop each time.
NO, and here's why. It's already hard enough to get the higher quality tier blueprints from the air drops. I don't want a bunch of crap weighing me down.
It's fine just the way it is. You can go farm pearls ect super easy already, there is currently NO other way to get the higher quality tier blueprints.
Though...I will admit that the higher quality blueprints could appear a % or 2 more often and still be quite rare.
this is the way ;)
Mostly it's blueprints, yes, but sometimes it's nice stuff.
sorry to burst your little exciting bubble but NO they dont spawn around the map go down south you see blue white and green NOTHING else.. the beems spawn in the same spot with the higher beems spawning in the middle of the map.. so dont speak untill you know what your even on about
And you DIDN'T say JUST the color YOU want, the way you worded it you said all of them. We can't read your mind ya derp, say what you mean and mean what you said.
And another thing, I've farmed literally hundreds of these things ALL OVER the map, unlike you obviously. Because they don't just all spawn in the middle (actually very few red/yellow spawn there) there are plenty of yellow and red next to the northwest corner of the map. As a matter of fact MOST of the yellows, red, and purple are on the NORTH end of the island. So who doesn't know what they are talking about now? Here's a hint, IT'S YOU.
You have a good point but most hate caves and with good reason. The swarms, the jumps, and the extreme temperatures. Though admittedly the swarms of critters and the extreme temps are one thing most people can deal with but the jumps are another thing entirely.
Some people are just terrible at parkour. Losing all your gear and your entire mount for what could easily amount to lag is not an appropriate punishment for missing one measly jump.
Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you don't. Its a roll of the dice, if your running to the same drop all the time and consistently getting water jars and compass drops doesn't that tell you.... "hrm.. i shouldn't go after that one so much..."
Ding ding ding, we have a winner,. Randomized spawns with larger loot tables drawn from every item in the game, every resource in the game. Would've made a helluva lot more sense than the current system.
And the person or persons who decided red drops should be able to drop compass, water jar or crop plot blueprints needs to be back handed.
If you set up shop near a bunch of drop spawn points, you don't really notice how disproportionate they are. For example, the hidden lake in the NE has THREE spawn points inside the lake walls. If you have that entire compound to yourself, you'll see a drop spawn within 5 minutes of collecting the last one. My tribe has SO MANY saddles/blueprints from those things it's ridiculous. I understand that not everyone can live there, but once you get strong enough to move bases you can find another location near lots of spawn points.
High-tier blueprints shouldn't be in low-tier drops. We don't need lv10 lone-wolf players crafting grenades from the smithy and grenade blueprints they happened to find. Either you join a tribe with people that can get you those things or you earn them yourself by leveling up or raiding.
Blueprints are also super necessary for regular gameplay. You can't learn all the engrams, and I was super happy to get my first water jar/compass drop because I hadn't learned those yet. True you see A LOT of them, but good stuff should be rare. It makes the Journeyman rifle blueprint you got in a drop so much more special because you know there's a good chance other people don't have it. And you can make them for your entire tribe!
Why aren't there red drops in the south? Balance. The south is the safest place to live due to the few hostile spawns, so getting that stuff takes very little effort for a lv60 player looking for red drops. Players with that much experience should be met with a challenge when getting awesome drops for the sake of game balance. Not that a red drop spawning in your perfectly fortified hidden lake is a challenge but... you get my point lol.
