Besides that though Tek Tier does have some nice/cool features to it, the gates and doors for example are lovely where there isn't some swinging hitbox everytime you open/close them :P
It's singleplayer. The only person that will see my base is myself.
In my scorched earth playthrough I was living a thatch hut for most of it, with most of my electronic stuff (fabricator, generator, chemistry bench etc.) all dumped on the floor outside, with some large walls blocking off the valley I'd built my base inside of. Only reason I upgraded the walls of that hut to wood was 'cos I kept having trouble finding the door with the way it blends in on thatch walls.
