The Ichy's keep running away from me =[
Out trying to tame one of these, and i feed it some raw meat, next thing i know it starts swimming away. Am i missing something here? i thought they were supposed to follow me around or at least stick around.

The same thing happened to me. Free spirits, those little ones. The only times I was able to actually tame them is when they went and beached themselves, but then you just tame it and it can't move. Ever. I feel like it's much easier to just knock it out and tame it that way, same as the rest of the dinos.

Don't get too close. Slot some meat into the last "zero" socket, and inch forward until the "E" to feed option shows up. Hit "E" to feed the first time. After that, just get close enough to see the Icthy's HUD and look at his hunger icon. If he/she is ready to eat again, inch a little closer and hit "E" again to feed. Basically, if you get too close they swim off. Don't be a pushy tamer!

I'll try being a little less pushy, I was able to tame one, but only because it got stuck swimming into my shark

A saddle allows you to get them off when they can't free themselves :)

Sounds like good advice, but doesn't make a difference.

They ALWAYS run away here. No matter how close I am. Tamed 2 out of at least 10 attempts.
At least 5 of them just swam to open ocean and never returned.
There really needs to be a "oh this guy has food!" feature in them. Who would run away from a free meal? No animal in the entire animal kingdom.

That`s why it`s so easy to bait a trex xD

Best taming spot I found for them are in the Coves/Inlets since it harder for them to swim away, since theres only a tiny exit. Means they end up swimming away getting stuck by the shore then they get the hey a human moodlet and swim back.
My fav spot is the Cove middle east side since it got a nice rock in the middle that you the player can rest on to get air and stamina back while being right next to them.
