A level 2 t-rex took 33, i know cuz i had 35 at the start and 2 when it finally dropped : )

Use that number versus size and level of you bronto if thats possible........

143 arrows for level 87 (11.5k torpor)

17 for a level 2. Aim for the head and you'll get better rates per arrow.

Unless you are Robin Hood or Legolas, I can picture this wasting half the arrows on misses.
Those Bronto heads swing so much when they are angry. :(

Sorry to bump up this "old" post! Just curious...

Tried taming a lvl 72 bronto today and spent well over 100 tranq arrows - waiting aprox. 10 seconds between each shot and not shooting "hard" (also no headshots)... I figured the darned thing must have been bugged... I guess I should have kept going :/

*bump* I found a level 120 Bronto in single player and had 280 tranquilizer arrows with me, plus a simple bow. I didn't aim for the head and kept shooting at its body. Maybe missed 5, max. 10 arrows. So... 270 arrows are not enough! Is the wiki wrong, or is the amount written there for headshots only? Will the 120 bronto de-spawn while I produce more arrows far away? :-(

No, it wont. The 120 bronto will unload but will reload as soon as you or someone else comes near it.

I've just come from a game where I tamed my first bronto - it was lvl 16, and seemed to be trapped in a wall, so I figured I'd try it despite being only lvl 30. Turned out it wasn't trapped, just fixated on the cliff face, and it turned to attack me back. Cue a frantic chase across the beach and back while I fired off all of my 50 tranqs, and by the time I was down to my last one my health and stamina was giving out. So I fired then sat back and waited for the death screen.

Bronto charged up to me, raised it's head to attack...then keeled over and passed out right in my face.

So my lvl 16 took 50 tranqs, although I wasn't getting headshots (I heard that those only count on little dinos not large ones?) and may have missed the odd one or two hits.

Download Dododex app, gives # tranqs to KOS with each type of weapon and you can add dmg values for weapons you have ingame.
