SCUBA Gear Needs To Be Lower Level
At 40 you get the required Fabricator. At 45 you get the first half of the Flak armor. The 50 you get the second half. Why not put the SCUBA Gear at 55? Or even to 45 and push the Flak armor back?

The most useful tools have always come first so far. You start with the Stone Pick and the Stone Hatchet follows immediately after. The Metal Pick and Hatchet are at level 25, reasonably far in. So why put the next most important harvesting tool (short of taming a sea creature) at the very end of the tree?

Please move it to a more reasonable level for its use.

The SCUBA ist one of the most high tech equipment in this game. Since the items are sorted for their tech grade, its position is understandable.

I am aware that it isnt fair, but it is understandable.

It is a comicated piece. Much more than flak armor. It also has a lower game value compared to flack armor since it is easier to work around the need for oxy using floss, attribute points and sea creatues. Armor value is not as easy to get.

We got C4 explosive at level 55 which was invented in rthe late 50's. Scuba gear existed since 1925, refinded to be the aqualung in 1942.
So if your going by tech level Scuba gear should be level 50 or 55 latest.

I think they're also looking at it from a gameplay standpoint. Scuba gear gives you HUGE amount of time to explore underwater. And it makes you really fast as well. It almost makes ichty/mega obsolete wasn't it for easier dino fighting and the dino's still being a bit faster. So it's perfectly understandable that scuba gear is endgame, imo.

Because your unjustified opinion is so godly and absolute. :\

While it's not super-high priority, I hope to see a rebalance of the engrams (and what they can do, if necessary) so that you get tech progression at around the same rate as tame progression. For example, let's say you've built on the beach or near the coast. It'll probably be less work for you to just tame an Icthy or Mega to do your diving. Let's say you're based far inland and don't really have the option of establishing a forward base to house your aquatic tames. It'll be less of a hassle for you to rely on SCUBA gear. You'll get to the ocean floor a bit later, as Icthys can be tamed relatively early-on, but you'll still have that option.

Should stay high level.
You can outswim Megalodons with it. If it was available lower levels Itchys would be pointless. Literally. With their speed at lower levels you have the time to go down, gather resources and get back up.
Later you get the luxury to stay down there forever, literally.

Agreed..I was already lvl 70 and for them to put a new item in the game that is lvl 75 (when 70 was the max level anyways before the new item and patch) is annoying. All I know is I will be selling SCUBA gear for lvl 120 Tamed Dinos to people or 5000 units of Stone, etc.

The major flaw in this game still is people being able to use Dino and gear at any level. Tribes automatically have the advantage over everyone in that all they need is one max level person to craft anything and every that is lvl 60+ if they are dedicated to max lvl item engrams.

It's silly, but I intend on abusing the mechanics and make bank.

You can always craft some underwater food instead. It's pretty cheap to produce and becomes available at level 25 in a nearly limitless amount. You just need to get access to the medium crop plot and cooking pot either through blueprints or the engram.

Scuba gear is just an upgrade to that.

On one hand I like 3x tame rate, 3x exp and third person cameria view option.

On the other hand I like easy supply drops and no complete server wipes, plus easier to break into bases assuming they haven't taken the time to make double or triple metal walls.

Either way scuba gear is suppose to be end game mostly because of explosives.
