mutator stacking
first time using this, Is it normal getting 2 mutations showing as 1 ? Seems abit OP rexes would rinse everything after 20 muts in health n melee with 40 of each actual mutations

the mutation cap is irrelevant anyway. you can still mutate beyond 20 mutations if you use unmutated females to breed with. a mutation can occur on either the male or female side even if the male has more than 20 mutations so long as the female has under 20

It is but kinda makes it easier upto 20 so chances are not halved but guess with mutator ur taking that out of equation anyway. Just seems odd getiing 2 muts for price of 1, Suppose makes breeding quicker and im all for that plus dinos still cap at 450 regardless

dinos are only capped at 450 on official

unofficial and single player have no level cap. the only thing that will pull you up is when you stat cap all the stats

Mutation count is near meaningless when mutation stacking.
AFAIK the 1 is simply an unavoidable quirk with how the mutator hooks into the mutation process.

Are we talking about the S+ Mutator? Because if you´re using the standard settings then one mutation puls (lasts for 5min) should only give 1 mutation (= +2 points in mutated stat). Standard setting is also that you can use a second mutator (because the standard cooldown after using it once is also 5min) so you can raise this count to 2 mutations, which would result in what you are describing which is shown as 1 mutation with +4 points in mutated stat.
But all these settings can be changed by the server admin via gameusersettings.ini, you can raise the mutation stack up to 50 i think, also how many mutations you´ll get with one pulse, etc

One mutation = two levels. That's the case with vanilla mutations, not just mutator ones.

Yes sure, thats what i wrote.
But if i read the post right shields83 is talking about one mutation = 4 levels, which can be done with the S+ Mutator.

its using 2 s+ mutators tried stacking more but its capped at 2 i think in my sp game. Just thought it was odd 2 mutations happening but only registering as 1. Its no issue just didn't know if bugged on my sp game, I will only be going to 10 as normally only go to 20 without mutator which is normally more than enough for all the bosses.

Long story short 1 mutation with 2 s+ mutators gives 4 lvls

Ah ok, yeah that´s normal behaviour and yes it´s kinda OP, also when you think that you can raise the count up to 50 mutations in 1...
You can also try the S+ Propagator, it´s even more OP cause you don´t need multiple Mutators and you can also breed creatures that won´t give an offspring even with the mutator, like the Indom Rex (mod).
But for PVE or single player it´s kinda ok to use these things imo, it just cuts tons of time wasted in breeding the same dinos over and over again.
