How to make a dino hungry?
Hello.

I am trying to tame some predators but the problem with them is that they hunger level lower very slowly and its taking ages to start eating.
there is any way to make them hungry? I heard a lot of people talking about starving dinos, but how do I do it?
also. there is any server setting that will make them hungry faster? like day cycle speed or dino hunger or something.

It drops different for every dino type, so it can indeed take a while for them to start eating. They'll eat every time the hunger drops below a certain level and wait for it to drop again. make sure you have enough food in them, because you'll have to start over (taming resets) if they want to eat and there's no food.

Starving means that you wait for the food level to drop so far that the dino will eat all the required food in a very short time. This won't get you better results regarding TE, but for some dinos it helps safe high value resources (kibble) if you wait and put it all in at once. You woulden't want to have a Rex tamed at 99% when suddenly something comes along and hurts or even kills it, ruining the TE and leading to a complete loss if all the Kibble it ate already.

Increasing taming speed setting makes them eat faster during taming.

That is what it's called - Appetizer. Search for that in the Workshop and it's the first result that comes up.

It's still ironic you had to revive the thread in order to call out an old thread, lol

That's not how that works. A reply to a necro is factually not a necro.
