ARK RECORDING SOFTWARE

Hello everyone, i have been trying to record ark for some time now, used camtasia, OBS, and Fraps so far none have worked. Fraps and camtasia both glitch out when i go back to review the recording. the screen kind of splits in two and gets all buggy, OBS works but when i opened it up in Camtasia studios to edit the screen was black. The same went for Windows Movie maker.

PS, i play in full screen, for some reason windowed lags my computer although i run epic on fullscreen

I use OBS just fine but then I also run the game in Windowed Fullscreen with no problems. I suspect your black screen is due to not running it in windowed.

I completely agree, just looking for an editing/recording software that works in fullscreen, Price is not a problem

i havent, is it compatable with windows 7? my computer is brand new btw i just enjoy the windows 7 experience more than the updated versions

nvidia shadowplay as part of the nvidia Geforce Experience program comes standard with all nvidia driver packages from the past 2 years to current day and records ark just fine, I've done it multiple times.

I use DxTory and OBS and edit using Sony Vegas. When using OBS be sure to have your recording settings to export as WMV, and if using the new version of OBS double check the output file. DxTory costs money, OBS is rad.

Shadowplay should work for you nicely, and works well with Windows 7.

(I've used pretty much everything for this game xD)

to OP, forget those other recording programs, they all have performance or file size hits.

Go bandicam, worked well on my 290x's works even better on my 980ti.

Buy it and don't look back at 2nd rate performance-killing screen cap apps.

honestly the best I have seen that works so far is the Raptr in game overlay. I find that fraps doesnt like DX11 games at all

I haven't had any issues with OBS with this game at all. When I do have to do edits, which isn't that often, i just use wondershare

Use Nivida Shadow play.
You can enable it in GeForce Experience.

AMD have a similar function in the Catalyst software.

I'm currently having an issue where the game will stutter during Shadowplay recording and suddenly the sound will be off by a second or two.
Any idea what might cause that? I'm running a 980 and i5 2500k OC'd to 4,5 Ghz. Have no issues running everything on Epic with 50 fps.
