Is there no way to sleep and skip the night?
I'm currently on single player and browse the internet through the night period, I have the simple bed but don't see an option to sleep...

Not currently but that would be legit!

If you press tab, then enter the command "gamma 4"(no quotes) it ups the lighting a bit. Gamma 3 also does this to a lesser extent, if its too bright for you.

The value(3 and 4, that I have given in the examples) are float values. So you may try 3.5 as well.

and once day time comes you can just type Gamma and it will restore the factory gamma settings as well.

this is not minecraft sleaping in beds do not invoke a time machine

but you can change the ini settings for night time
so depnding on install location...

ShooterGame\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

NightTimeSpeedScale=999999999
DayTimeSpeedScale=0.035

this will make sure day is super long 25hrs long and night time becomes insta day

Other commands in the console that reduce glare and blinding sunlight include:
r.bloomquality 0
r.lightshafts 0

Even just for single player it would be nice, then again i wouldn't mind staying up when those nocturnal dinos are released

True. This gives the OP options. if he wants to run the raptor claus mod, he can gamma. Otherwise, turning it off as you suggest would def be the way to go.

Without any mods or repeating the commands you can do it fairly easy with a logitech/razer mouse/keyboard that allows for recording & editing macro's, or write a fairly simple script in software like autohotkey or macroexpress.
Whichever you choose, the concept will be the same. Stand in front of your bed and start recording your macro;

- the mouse/keyboard action of laying down in bed,
- {tab} NightTimeSpeedScale=28800 {enter}
- {1 second delay}
- {tab} NightTimeSpeedScale=1 {enter}
- action of leaving your bed

It takes some fiddling around, but you'll get the hang of it. Tweak it any way you like, for example 28800 will show the night passing by in 3 seconds in somewhat of an animation.
Optimize the delay between all the keys to your device
Save the macro as a hotkey or configurable button on your keyboard/mouse.

Now you can run it with a press or click at your convenience.

Too bad no macro not to be an ass. The topic wasn't solved. I googled for an in-game solution and came here. Saw none, shared mine. You're welcome.

Shall Lori cite for you the various threads that get locked for necroing stuff that is either pointless, out of date, or not really giving anything of merit to a thread? Just scroll back a couple of pages and you'll see it for yourself of course.

Dont be silly.

If the reply genuinely isn't adding anything useful then I'd agree it could be locked, but in all fairness I think a lot of those topics are locked just because they are reported for being old, where the recent replies actually ask pertinent questions or add reasonable info. I think it's a bit of a shame, personally...
