Stats Reseting?

You are playing on an unofficial server? Do you have access to the configuration files? I know the stat can be adjusted/overridden in game.ini. I would say the first step here is to ensure no one is tampering with those stat settings or running a command to reset stats.

Im playing on an unofficial server with extra levels, i asked the admin and he told me it was a bug that ARK reseted the stats automaticly

The only Bug here is your Server Admin and his Settings. There Are Servers with Max lvl 1000 and You will get no reset at all. I spawned a quetz lvl 500000 a few Weeks ago as a Server Stress-Test. It had about 60 Million hp. No Limit there.. I Could Even increase the value

250 or more points into a stat resets in on player or dino but it wont reset unless server restarts or you're player dies and respawns. It's caused by the way they programed the game and how much data they can input, it would take alot of work to fix, however if you change the game.ini or whatever it so that if you put one point into a stat and it gives you 2x the origanal value or such it will still only count as one point into that stat. I feel you're pain.

Really?? Never had this on a lvl 1000 Server i played a few months ago. Strange. So there is a skillpoint Limit on every Single ability (probably 256 (=8 bit))

Yeah thats what i tought, this server has 1000 lvls but no stat increase.. pain in the ass, should be low level and better stat increases

Do you have any proof or whatever that it's 250? I've been looking around trying to find a reason why the dinosaurs stats would randomly reset and was just wondering how sure you were about this and if it was confirmed by a Dev.

not comepletely sure, but iv'e played the game for a long time and i have been told the same thing by 3 different people, From what i have heard it's a limitation of some part of the program that can't save higher values then 249 and if you go over 249 the formula to calculate you're stats gets screwed up and goes backwords divideding you're stat by 3 each time you put a point into it.. I always do 230 max into a single stat to be on the safe side. Closest i can confirm is that 247 is the highest number i have ever tried without it reseting.

well, personally i hope it gets fixed, i have had 8 dinos get thire stat reset and my own dmg stat to. on the server i play on dinos can get to over level 4000 when tamed right. so it goes to say that my dinos are all pretty much useless right now

Max stats are base stat + (255*stat increase per point)

Yeah this is an old post, but yeah you can put 255 points into one stat and anything over that will reset, because the system can't handle over 255

it happens in the whole game. stats are coded as an 8bit value --> 256 possibilities. if you count from 0 to 255 you have reached your 256 possibilities. anything higher can't get saved permanently and is just cached in your RAM as long as ark is started (or the server where this may be the case). any restart resets the value since it tries to load it from the savefiles where it can't save any higher value than 255

i have almost same problem in singl player i spawning lvl 18k dino after i relog hes stats becoming like ferom 5k weight on 600 wegiht or even worse idk how to fix it it started after i changed adavanced settings pannel but i maked it all back but i have same problem anyway ? how to fix?

Just read my explanation above... There is no fix because the attributes are saved as 8bit integer...
