Harvesting single resource per action, Adjust to multiple like single player
Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the server gathering to give multiple resource types per harvest action rather then just 1 resource per action.

I've spent a hour googling and searching the discussion board here with only other people asking the same question from as farm back as 2017 with no solution.

The resources being gathered depends on the tool being used, and what it's being used against. You hit stone with a pick you get one set of resources, use an axe on the same stone, you get a different drop table. They overlap heavily.

And even then, it's randomized. I'm not sure the game can even accomplish what you want normally.

You need to probably find a mod to do that. I don't think changing the settings will do that.

I think you misunderstood the question:

When I play single player with the same setting and hitting a rock with a pick axe a single time I get 14 flint, 5 stone and 1 metal.

When I play on the server I just started and hit a rock with a pick axe a single time I get 20 of a single resource. Could be flint, could be stone, could be metal.

I want it to work like single player on the server. How?

This is because of the UseOptimizedHarvestingHealth config. They added it in because in the past, harvesting a huge amount of resources at once (like a bronto swinging it's tail to attack a big field of berry bushes for example) would cause the server to lag massively. The fix worked, but causes only one type of resource to be gathered at a time, and you get less rare resources on average.

To turn it off, shut the server down, then go to the server's GameUserSettings.ini config file. In there, look for the section [Server Settings] and try to find a line which says 'UseOptimizedHarvestingHealth=True'. Delete True and put False instead, then save the file and start up the server again. Just be warned that when doing this, the server is more prone to lag when harvesting lots of materials all in one go.

THANK YOU! Its just 3 of us playing on the server so shouldn't be a problem!

We have really been struggling with prime meat and other rare resources.
