However I've seen some games with achievements which are so difficult or grindy that 99.9% of the world's population would never be able to complete them, or would never be prepared to spend the time. Given that we have such silly overblown achievements in other titles, it's only reasonable that some games will go easier on the difficulty front.
I'd also say that yes, while actually getting the achievements themselves is easy once you have mastered the game, actually getting to the point where you are in that position is a challenge in itself. We've had many complaints on these forums over the years from people saying the game is too hard and they can't survive long enough to do anything, and I myself am not a hardcore survival fan and found the game infuriating before I changed difficulty settings to make it more forgiving.
And lastly, what are achievements for anyways. Bragging rights, so we can say we have completed them? If that's the case, then it's no big deal if they are easy - the only thing it would change is that when we say 'I've done 100% in Ark', other achievement hunters will say 'Oh that game? That's weak.' If an achievement hunter is looking for a challenge, they can choose to skip Ark and play a more difficult game to get their accolades. But if someone is just having fun playing the game and wants to try and get a few extra coloured pixels on their profile by completing a few easy challenges, then this gives them a reason to do that.
nah hey not talking about achivemnts ...
