Dino clutter can be adjusted in options..
Birds are also fine, they have their speed back..
Think I just proved you uniformed
Edit* “Uninformed”
What's he wearing?
Oops haha! UNINFORMED!!
As a person who plays exclusively solo or on a private server with trusted friends, I don't see an issue with the server hopping or megatribes. I know it is a problem on official servers, but I don't know why anyone would want to play on those when unofficials have always been an option and are imo preferable even without megatribe factors.
The flyer nerf was desperately needed, and imo was a very good move, although I will admit that it wasn't implemented in the way I would have preferred. If it were up to me I would have left flyer speed as it was, and slashed all flyer weight capacity by 50% or more across the board.
And I'm quite a fan of the new maps and new creatures, they add a lot more lifespan to the game by giving us new places to explore and new mechanics to try out. The only real issue is when mod maps try to add every creature from every DLC to a single map, and end up just becoming a generic mish-mash of assets from the whole Ark spectrum, losing their uniqueness and identity in the process.
All of the above being said, however, I will admit that WildCard is far from the most advanced, or indeed the most respectable, dev company out there. One remembers the Early Access DLC fiasco, the several months of a longstanding TruSky memory leak which the team repeatedly refused to acknowledge or investigate, and many unfulfilled promises such as Primal Survival. For all that they have had much success and given us a lot of entertainment, it is true that WC have made a lot of mistakes as well.
I like to keep an open mind, so I'm not gonna prejudge Ark 2 and dismiss it without evidence or cause. But I am going to be cautious about it and not jump in head first either. I doubt I will be picking it up in Early Access - rather I will wait to see how it develops, analyse it's gameplay and consider the devs' handling of it. If, in time, I am impressed, then I might well pick it up. But we shall have to see...
You are complaining about things you can fix in an instant.
For me privet servers are hella wack, with to much instant taming and the like. Also PvP on officials was legit before server hopping bs. Now we got hackers with hacks tailor made for mega tribes that no anti-cheat can pick up since it's only used by that tribe, so on and so fourth.
Also time, games a massive time sink when it could easily be dialed back. I had fun with my 1100 hours and homies with 4400 like crazy back before lunch.
My bet is the next one turns out worst than Atlas. Will see though, would be nice if they got it right.
I guess OP lost many times to dilo's and noobs
I deleted some of what you said to highlight those two points because they are inconsistent.
Unofficial servers can remove the massive time sink, and a lot of them do. The fact that a lot of them overdo it does not mean that unofficial servers can't be toned down to suit your liking. It's solely a choice dedicated server operators choose to make.
If you can't find an unofficial server that is to your liking, make your own. If you choose not to do either of those things, why should those of us who do care?
I do have some reservations about Ark2, but I will make my decision about it when I have more information.
And to the rest of your spam....
Yeah to much, yup, no, ok, no, who asked you too, and oh look something about Ark 2 just so this won't count as a spam post. Clever girl, way to skirt the discussions bans. Sheeeeeeeesh.
But yeah I get what you mean by officials, luckily I don't have to touch them.
If they where the only option I'd probably have forgotten about this years ago.
As for how ARK 2 turns out, some will cry no matter what, some will enjoy it and play.
I'll wait to see what it's like and move on if it sucks, pretty simple and no need for a crystal ball.
