Need help with getting the rock drake eggs

Hey guys,so i want to get a rock drake egg but i have never done it,all the youtube videos i saw had rock drakes in them so getting the egg is easier,can you guys give me some advice on hwo to get them? will a 200% pteranadon be able to outrun them?
Map : falguero and server has cave flyers enabled

Ptera cannot go to Aberration.

Good spinos or crabs are typical for getting your first few eggs.

Forgot to mention that map is valguero and server has cave flyers

Then it basically just like wyverns. Have you stolen wyverns eggs before?

And you could build a trap to kill all the adults. Then go steal the eggs.

Yes,i have gone for the wyvern eggs before,but my friend keeps telling me that rock drakes are faster than pteranadons,no matter the % on the speed

Rock drakes don't actually fly. You can use that to your advantage.

But it's easier just to kill them with some good spinos.

If you have a flyer you'll be pretty much invunerable. Spy out the eggs first to find a good level, and if you attract drake attention lead it away until it loses agro. Then land in the nest you want to raid, hop off and grab the egg, jump back on and fly up a few hundred feet into the air. The drakes can't fly, so they won't be able to get you at all unless you land or get too close to a wall. Just fly out, avoiding getting too close to the scenery around you, and they'll eventually give up following, leaving you unscathed.
