What is gas mask used for?

Where would I need one?

Gas Mask can be used to protect you from poison gas that can be from dinos themselves, or from certain location (such as swamp cave on TheIsland map). If you're planning to go wyvern hunting, gas mask will save you from poison wyverns for example.

Yea unless you are confident in your means of dispatching aggro'd Wyverns or you can easily leave before it even catches up with you.

Wear a Gas Mask cause the poison spit can one shot you off your mount otherwise.

Also handy to have one when actually riding creatures with poison spitball breath, in case of accidental close-range discharge (yes I speak from plenty of experience...)

I got killed by my own Poison Wyvern once too xD

You will also need one for fojordor's Brute cave and a way to keep the bats of you :)
