what is the best way to farm ammonite bile

Basilosaurus with a decent quality saddle imo. Saddles are reasonably easy to come by (compared to stuff like tuso and mosa), basil is tanky so when killing the ammonites and drawing agro from half the ocean around they won't be swamped so easily, plus they're immune to jellyfish and tuso grabs, and if ever your hp does drop low swim to the surface and you regen really quick.

i will keep this in mind. the bary is also a good choice since his right click doesn't cause the agro. but i was actually wondering if there is way to get more bile from ammonites

I'm afraid I don't know of any creature which harvests it with greater efficiency, sorry.

I ran into the same challenge and couldn't figure a way to get that bile without spending way too many hours looking for yoopy terds. Then I found out the S+ mod's tek storage doesn't need bile, thus they were much, MUCH easier to build those. So we installed that and never looked back. Side benefit, when I logged out and back in, all the stock tek storage magically became S+ storage. Haven't farmed the terds since. I know S+ is not for everyone, just throwing it out there. Hope you get it sorted.

it's hard to chose because s+ has somethings ss doesn't have but ss does have things s+ doesn't have
